Wife of the King

When I began working on a title for the finished sculpture, I looked up “queen” in the dictionary. The first definition in every dictionary I tried at the time was “wife of the king,” or some variation on that. Needless to say, a king is not defined as “husband of the queen,” first, last, or ever.  That said it all for my brave and regal female, rendered footless and skewered by her female requirements within a patriarchy, regardless of her true capacity.
